Blue Monday
Its Sunday afternoon, its raining and I am back to work tomorrow after a weeks vacation, this seemed fitting for the Stampotique Desingers Challenge, I have created the background with ColourBox Chalk inks as they layer nicely and are not too wet for the journal.

Far Away
Time for another Stampotique challenge, which was to use your scraps. Well I have a small bag of pieces of card, all cut offs from other projects and I just can't bring myself to throw them away so this challenge was ideal. I glued lots of different pieces onto card stock, regardless of colour but 90% had a texture of some kind. I painted over them all with some gesso then spritzed with a few glimmer mists. Added the stamped image which I highlighted with gel pen and then some words and brads. I hope you like it.

Paper Piecing Challenge
One of the challenges over on StampTV this week is to do Paper Piecing, its always fun to do and I always use my little scraps which I find very satisfying (I do hate to throw anything away). So here is my example, I hope you like it,

Stampotique CAS challenge
Another Stampotique challenge, I did go a bit wild at the Port Sunlight stamp festival and bought a whole load of Stampotique stamps, so glad Happy Daze were there this year, it was a real treat. Well I have no excuse to not enter the challenges now hehehe so here is my go at CAS and I just love it, this style suits me down to the ground, I hope you like it as well

Follow your dreams
It is a glorious day here in Rijswijk and I should be outside doing something hehehe but no I have been stamping instead, but my table is infront of our balcony door which is open so I can at least see outside (does that count???) I really wanted to enter this weeks Mark's Finest Papers Speedy Cat challenge which is to do a collage card, so here is my offering. It looks nothing like the idea I started out with in my head, but then again in my head I think I can sing like Sarah Brightman (I can't in real life) so maybe it is not such a bad thing. Anyway I hope you like it.

Dance in the rain
This card I made for the Stampoutique Challenge, which was to use Newsprint/Old Book Pages. I don't have any old books but I did find a musical score so I hope this counts. I really enjoyed making this card, I am trying very hard to push myself outside of my comfort zone which is much more CAS. Lots of inky fingers which is always fun.
Delight
Oops I was very bad and spent all my free time on E-bay last week and no crafting at all, but I now do have some very exciting bargains snail mailing their way to me. I will try to make up for it as well by posting a few times this week. So first up here is my card for this weeks StampTV sketch challenge, this is a new little Do Craft stamp I picked up from a fair a few weeks ago, just love this cat.

Late
Aaah another weekend, it is a lovely sunny day today here in Holland and you can feel spring in the air, although that can be very deceiving here, Thursday was horrible, cold and rainy. Here is my card to this weeks StampTV sketch challenge. I went to a craft show last Saturday and had a lovely time shopping, I love Tim Holtz stuff and was very inspired by what I saw even though I think it can be a bit too busy for my style, but I thought I would give it a go. Hope you like this.

Ciao Bella
Here is my card for this weeks sketch challenge on StampTV. I love this stamp so much, so simple and yet can be really dramatic depending how you colour it.

Metal Heart
StampTV had a release party on Thursday and there were lots of challenges, but I only mangaged one, which is a shame but I did have a great weekend putting together new furniture from Ikea, maybe not as much fun as stamping but very satisfying to look at our new sofa and coffee table etc. This card was for the metal challenge, I cut up a soft drink can and ran it through my big shot in an embossing folder, then got the alcohol inks out, really like how it turned out.

The Walls
Oh my goodness I had such trouble trying to get the Faux Barnwood Technique for the Stampoutique challenge to work, this was my 5th attempt, I was either using too much paint and/or glue or not enough, sigh, it turned into a bit of a monster. Which got me thinking about horror movies which I am not a huge fan off especially when there is something in the house that turns on lights or moves furniture or eats you. Can you see where I'm going with this hehehehe. Anyway I hope you like the card.

Baby & Bunny
The StampTV colour challenge this week was for creme de menthe, lemon drop and red hot. I am not sure how correct my colours have turned out but I thought they looked really nice on a baby card.

StampTV Sketch Challenge STVSKSP14
Here is my entry for the above challenge, I was messing around with some distress inks trying to get really smoooth sponging, this one turned out the best then I swiped the inkpads across to add some interest, then I added the stamped image which I coloured with copics, I did play around with adding a sentiment but nothing looked right and I like it how it is anyway hehehe.

StampTV challenges
Another Sunday night, where do the weeks go. Here are my two contributions for the Stamp Tv challenges this week. Both fairly quick and simple, I completely love some of the beautiful layered, intricate cards that many people make, but when I try to recreate them I find I get to a point when I just can't add any more to the card, my brain screams noooooo hehehe I guess my style is simple.

Stampoutique Star
Stampoutique Design Challenge 23 is Orange & Turquoise. Now I only have 2 Stampoutique originals stamps at the moment and not a lot of Orange (although now I'm living in Holland I need more orange as it is kind of the national colour)and as I was searching through my stash it seems like I don't have a lot of Turquoise either hehehe so this was going to be a challenge. Then I found an old box of pre-printed cards which I have had for I don't know how many years and low and behold there was one which was Orange & Turquoise (it just goes to show that you should never, never throw anything away hehehe). So here is my offering for this challenge, I hope you like it.

Have a wonderful Day
Here is a quick and easy card I have made for this weeks StampTV sketch challenge, I have used my new Stampin Up Flight of the butterfly set, I had been eyeing this set up for well over a year, also its matching punch. I do have about a million other butterfly stamps and was wondering how I could justify buying more but in the end I caved in and I'm soooooo glad I did, I love it :))

A new item
New Years Resolution
My New Years resolution is to blog at least once a week, which in turn means I need to be creating at least once a week which is always a pleasure.
So here goes, StampTV had a new release party last week which means lots of lovely challenges, the first one I did was the resist technique challenge and here is my card using the Stampin Up beware pirate set.
