One Layer Christmas Card

Well here it is, this is my first attempt at one layer cards, and I am really pleased with how it turned out. I was very nervous to stamp directly onto the base card and kept stamping on scraps of paper, then I gritted my teeth and did it, I hope you like the end result. This was totally inspired by Simplicity.

Stamp TV Inspire4 Challenge

Here is my entry for the above challenge, I took the colours from the picture but the main design comes from another blog called Simplicity which is jam packed with the most beautiful cards, I have spent most of the weekend dipping in and out of this blog and I will be trying to do some one layer cards (although its kinda scary, I have always stamped and layered, its more forgiving). I hope you like it. Hmm I can't seem to create a link, getting an error message in Dutch which is beyond my abilities to translate so will have to wait for my lovely man to come home and translate it for me. Stemplestudio Challenge - June

This is my entry for the above challenge, the theme being 'passed' and I hope they will forgive me for using English stamps as I have no Dutch word stamps at the moment, it is very similar to a previous card I posted a few weeks ago, but I have decided to try and use up all my bits and pieces as I generally make enough for 2 or 3 cards just in case but then only make one hehehe.

Here is my card for the above challenge, sigh its not a straight as I would have liked and I was definately having an off stamping day, took 4 attempts on the small middle panel, hehehe well we all have days like that.

This card is for the SmART-Word Challenge for June and the word is Ribbon, I made this with a particular 5 year old in mind and in her world there can never be enough pink or glittery bits.

Favorite Summer Memory

Gina K of StampTV has set this challenge, So, what is your favorite summer memory?

I remember when I was 6 or 7 we went to Jersey, it was one of the hottest summers ever (do they always seem hotter looking back?) We escaped to the air conditioned cinema for a few hours, my dad and brother saw Journey to the center of the Earth or something like that, but mum took me to see Bambi. I did cry but I loved that movie, in fact I love all the Walt Disney movies. Every time I look at Tami Mayberry's set of Fairy Tales stamps the mushroom always makes me think of Disney, so here is my card. I know there was no frog in Bambi but I had to add him in because I love him hehehe.

Well I know its been a little while since I posted but I broke my little guillotine and was completely lost, my local shop did not have one that I liked so I had to go further a field an then order one, it is amazing how much I used it. StampTV Inspire25 challenge

The challenge was for something that makes you think of summer, well I once spent a delightful afternoon with my bff sitting in my garden enjoying the sunshine and a bottle of wine, we then decided to hit the shops hehehe, I bought an orange skirt, the first orange item in my wardrobe and probably the last as well, everytime I think of that day I can't help but smile.
